
Sara's Story
Sara (Romaine) Kappos graduated from Ursinus College with a dual major in International Relations and Media/Communications.Through her studies, Sara realized she loves the nuances of working effectively and empathetically with people, using her analytical side to implement solutions to a problem. While working in marketing, Sara discovered a passion for finance and problem solving leading her to pursue a career in wealth management.
She joined Blue Hills Wealth Management in early 2013. Upon joining Blue Hills, she quickly pursued an advanced education in finance and earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional and Certified College Funding Specialist™ designations.Sara’s advisory duties include the creation of comprehensive financial plans, development of solutions, and follow-through with clients.
Based on her professional experience, Sara was invited to join The Incomologists® team as the director of financial planning. In this role, Sara specializes in guiding medical care professionals through financial decisions related to transitioning from W2 employees to 1099 small business owners. She helps them navigate key decisions such as selecting the right business structure, maximizing tax efficiency, implementing retirement savings strategies, and managing cash flow effectively. With a deep understanding of the unique financial challenges faced by independent medical professionals—including variable income, self-employment taxes, and benefits planning—Sara helps her clients work toward greater financial stability as independent professionals.
As a third-generation advisor, helping clients navigate financial challenges and opportunities they encounter is in her blood. Outside of work, Sara enjoys spending time with her family—her husband Jim, daughter Kalli, and their two rambunctious doodles, Teddy and Trace. Sara and her family love skiing in Waterville Valley in the winter and heading to the beach in Dennisport, Cape Cod in the summer. Sara would describe herself as an avid reader, dancer, plant-lover, music aficionado, and HGTV fan.
